Deb Holliday

Deb is not your average publicist. She developed a love for biological sciences at a young age, spending hours in her playroom dissecting frogs and insects, or begging anyone around to play just one more game of “Operation”.

Deb earned her first degree at the University of Pittsburgh in Dental Hygiene. She practiced for a number of years after college and then between babies. In the midst of raising her four kids and working almost full-time as a volunteer in her community, she earned her bachelor’s degree at Ohio University, majoring in communications and Spanish.

The extensive medical knowledge Deb acquired from the demanding dental hygiene curriculum and her ongoing quest to keep abreast with advancements in the medical field have served her well in multiple roles.

In 2000, Deb was hired by TLC Vision, the largest provider of laser eye surgery services in the US, as the market development/refractive coordinator in northwestern PA, where her skills and determination helped grow the market beyond expectations. Deb accepted a position at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center as a public relations specialist in the Department of Ophthalmology. Her role included patient counseling for those undergoing refractive surgery, along with marketing responsibilities. She drank in the expertise that surrounded her while working with some of the world’s leading ophthalmologists.

Deb was asked to join a well-known healthcare public relations agency in 2008. She successfully led the agency’s largest account during her tenure. After several years in PR, she longed to return to a clinical setting and began a management position at one of Pittsburgh’s premier ophthalmology practices. It didn’t take Deb long to realize that her true passion is public relations. Upon returning to PR, she successfully directed campaigns for numerous clients. Her passion for surpassing goals has not gone unnoticed – she has led her team to several coveted awards, and in 2017, Deb was named a Bulldog Star of PR.

Developing strong relationships is the foundation of everything Deb does, professionally and personally. That, coupled with a solid work ethic and her unique skill set, enables Deb and her team to illuminate each client’s great story to the right audience.

For balance, Deb leans on her sense of humor and the strong support of her close-knit circle of friends and family. Her grown children live in some of the most exciting places across the country, making for great travel destinations. In late 2023, Deb and her life partner, John, made the move from Pittsburgh, PA, to The Villages, FL. While in Pittsburgh, Deb was a committed member and officer of the Rotary Club and volunteered with several charitable organizations. Now in Florida, she and John are enjoying the wealth of entertainment and recreational opportunities available in their new community. Deb also serves on the Board of Directors at Holy Trinity Episcopal School in Fruitland Park, FL. A passionate advocate for animals, Deb’s personal mantra is “Must love dogs,” and her Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Iris and Joey, are likely the most spoiled pups around.
